To AHS Senior Gabe Allen “Return to Normal” Means Something a Little Different
Incoming AHS senior Gabe Allen, pictured above with his dog Macey, spent the pandemic year of 2020 recovering from the damaging effects of the rare autoimmune disease Gullain-Barre Syndrome. Always smiling with a plucky attitude, Allen is ready to make the most of his senior year.
Allen spent eight days at the Omaha Children’s Hospital and was then transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln until mid-May, where he did up to seven hours of intense physical therapy every day.
