Jolyn Pozehl Wrestles 7-5 at “Disney Duals” in Orlando

Jolyn Pozehl, incoming AHS freshman and Long Pine resident, recently traveled to Orlando for the 2021 AAU Scholastic Duals or the “Disney Duals” where she wrestled 7-5. Pozehl is pictured in a cowboy hat because she just won a match by pinning her opponent.

Pozehl, who wrestles in the 112 weight class, holds down her opponent for an eventual pin. Having advocated for the sanctioning of Girls High School Wrestling in Nebraska, Pozehl said the NSAA’s vote to sanction the sport in May was “great because more girls will go out for wrestling and it will actually be competitive.”
