Mountain Lion in Valentine No Longer a Threat

A trail camera caught this image of the sub-adult mountain lion at Frederick Peak Golf Course. The 103 pound male was by the eighth hole, Tuesday, September 19. A Girls High School golf tournament was being played at Frederick Peak that day and was shortened to 9 holes due to the sighting. The animal was euthanized Thursday, September 21, when it made its presence known at Lakeshore Drive, in Valentine.
