Race cars, classic cars, and derby cars alike lined the streets on Friday during the Show and Shine from 5-8 p.m. -
Christopher Johnson, of Ainsworth, won the hot dog eating contest hosted by the Elks. Johnson ate 13 hot dogs in seven minutes. -
As a storm rolled through on Friday afternoon, the Ainsworth Chamber of Commerce made the decision to not set up the inflatables, but left the dunk tank up, which got plenty of use. -
During the Show and Shine and Cruise, Bill Ganser did a KBRB ‘Blast from the Past’ Takeover from 4-11 p.m., which was played on speakers as locals walked through the car show. -
Several motorcyclists showed off their bikes in the Homestead Bank parking lot during the Show and Shine. -
Heather Stec (left) and Angie Hood (right) ran the entrance table during cruise night. Motorists were given a cruise night punch card and were entered in the drawing to win a prize. Businesses included on the punch cards were Cottonwood Villa, 1st Class Auto, The 402 Bar, Fuch’s Philing Station, Elk’s Lodge, KC’s Classics, Sandhills Care Center, and the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course. The winner of the $350 second prize was John McIntosh, and the $500 first place prize went to Brad See. -
The Ainsworth Girls Basketball team hosted a root beer float fundraiser at 1st Class Auto. Pictured above is Puridy Haley, AHS Junior, selling a float. In the 1st Class Showroom there was a selfie backdrop, and outside Erin Painter ran a drive through car photobooth. Two Sinclair Prints were raffled off, Phil Fuchs and Nate Fredenburg won these prints.
