Wayne State College Fall 2022 Dean’s List

Wayne State College included 1,275 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Fall 2022 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

NDEE Clarifies Private Well Reverse Osmosis Rebate Program Process

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) has received significant interest and feedback in the Private Well Reverse Osmosis Rebate Program, which is available to private well owners with drinking water test levels above 10 parts per million of nitrate. The department would like to offer the following clarifications regarding the program’s requirements:

Danny Daniels to be Inducted into the NSWCA Hall of Fame

The Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association has announced its Hall of Fame inductees for the Class of 2023! The NSWCA was created in 1975 by a group of wrestling coaches headed by Jim Holechek of Lincoln East. Holechek and others envisioned an organization of wrestling coaches dealing specifically with wrestling and not under the umbrella of the Nebraska Coaches Association.

Third Big Snow Storm of Season Hits Area with Over 15 Inches

For the third time this winter, north central Nebraska has been hit with a big snow storm. The storm that swept through the area on Wednesday, January 18th dropped over 15 inches of snow in parts of Brown County.

Governor Pillen Announces Historic Tax Relief Bills

On January 18th, Governor Jim Pillen, accompanied by several state senators including members of the Revenue Committee, announced six priority bills for the Legislative session aimed at transforming Nebraska’s tax code, making our state’s tax system more competitive with other states, improving workforce development, and providing parents and their children additional choices for education.
