The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has released the 2024 and 2025 Football Classifications. The classification and schedules will be for two years – the 2024 and 2025 football seasons for Classes A-B-C1-C2-D1-D2-D6.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale.

Is twine or net wrap good feed? Obviously not, but it can cause health problems if animals eat too much of it. To lighten the workload when feeding hay, we often take short cuts and leave some twine or net wrap on the bales.

Recently I met a new patient who had waited several months for her appointment. At this first meeting, I was quickly able to diagnose Rheumatoid arthritis. Like others with this disease, her joints were swollen, and she was stiff getting up and moving to the exam table. During our discussion I learned she had felt well until about six months before. The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is excited to announce winners of its third annual “Name A Snowplow” contest. This contest strives to bring awareness about winter weather preparedness and safety to Nebraska’s elementary school students. This year, NDOT received over 1,100 submissions from across the state, a new record for the contest.

The Bassett Arts Council’s sponsored the annual 2023 Jane Keller Memorial Art Show in Bassett on on November 30th, December 1st and 2nd. There were three age groupings available to enter: youth, adult and professional.
