Part Two: Getting the Most Out of Your Healthcare

After your visit: Your physician may order blood work, x-rays or a scan of your body. If the concern is acute or potentially a threat to your immediate health, you may be asked to wait for your results in the clinic. Normally, patients may leave and await their results from home. If the physician has requested a follow-up appointment, please schedule prior to your departure. We highly encourage this step as the schedules fill up very quickly.

Carol visited her brother, Jim Marsh, for Ceresco Days and had fun riding with him in the parade in his 66 Chevy pickup. A car show was enjoyed. Walks with Jim and the two pooches were enjoyed as well as a couple of rides.

Allen and Martin Win 2 Lady Golf Scramble Tournament

The Ainsworth Ladies Golf League sponsored their 2 - Lady Golf Scramble on Saturday, July 22nd with 13 teams participating. Championship flight was won by Lydia Allen and Ashley Martin who shot a two round score of 70.

NDOT Hay Permit Applications Accepted Online Beginning July 30

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has announced hay harvesting permit applications for the public will be accepted through an online application portal beginning July 30 at 12:01 a.m. CDT. Applications will be processed in the order they are received during normal business hours beginning Monday, July 31, 2023. Individuals must have a permit to harvest hay on State Right of Way.

Swanson and Keller Graduate

Eastern Wyoming College held the 74th annual commencement for candidates on May 12, 2023 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. There were 171 graduates.

Scholarship Applications

The Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a teacher honorary, is offering scholarships to local young people who have chosen to pursue a career in the field of education. Interested students with at least 60 college credit hours may apply.

Ainsworth Lions Club

The Ainsworth Lions Club annual Family Picnic was held at 6:30 pm., Monday, July 17th, with 17 members and 10 guests in attendance. Lions Club President Steve Dike welcomed members and guests.

Yellow Loosestrife Discovered in Brown County

On Tuesday, June 28th, Brown County Weed Superintendent Scott Erthum was spraying road ditches two miles south of Ainsworth on Road 876 and he came upon a patch of flowering plants he hadn’t seen before. These plants were about two and a half feet tall and crowned by a large head of bright yellow flowers with a red throat. He identified these plants as Lysimachia vulgaris, or more commonly known as Yellow loosestrife.
