Funeral Service for Meredith D. “Punk” Worth, age 92 of Springview, NE will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Keya Paha County High School Gymnasium in Springview. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Springview. Punk Worth died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his home near Springview.

Danny Duane Daniels was born on July 24, 1958, to Duane Dale Daniels and Mary Elizabeth (Harris) Daniels in Ainsworth, NE. He passed away suddenly on April 21, 2023, at the CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE with Teri by his side, at the age of 64. Dan lived his entire life in Ainsworth. Dan attended Lila McAndrew Grade School and Ainsworth High School, graduating in 1977.

Brown County Report April 16th through April 22nd, 2023 Sunday, April 16th Brown County Ambulance Association transported an individual from rural Brown County to the Brown County Hospital. Monday, April 17th Responded to a report of injured deer along Hwy.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident on April 14th at 12:40 p.m. on East 3rd Street in Ainsworth.

Donald Ray Fernau, age 93, of Ainsworth, NE passed away on January 23, 2023 at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth. He was born April 3, 1929 in Ainsworth to Arthur “Butch” and Bernice (Henning) Fernau. Don attended school in Ainsworth and graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1946. He grew up on the family farm north of Ainsworth where he developed a strong work ethic that he carried with him in life. In September of 1950, Don joined the United States Army where he served his country honorably overseas until May of 1953. On June 5, 1951, Don married the love of his life Betty J. Greenough. To this union, a son, Ronald Ray was born on February 8, 1955.

Melba Evelyn Bejot was born August 30, 1934 to Rudolph M. and Nellie E. (Kackmeister) Waits. She passed away, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Sandhills Care Center in Ainsworth at the age of 88 years. Melba lived her entire life in Ainsworth. She graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1952. Melba married Francis E. Bejot on October 25, 1952 in Gregory, SD. To this union, four children were born - Cindy, Steve, Tom and Terry.

Funeral Services for Danny D. Daniels, age 64, of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023) at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Johnstown. Burial will follow in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Danny Daniels died Friday, April 21, 2023 at CHI Health-Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE.

Word has been received of the death of Joan “Jo” M. Irwin, age 88, of Ainsworth, NE. Jo Irwin died Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett, NE. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
