Kathryn Shald, 86 was born April 8, 1935,in Atkinson, NE to Fred and Lizzy (Krumm) Braun. Many knew her as Tootie, a nickname given to her by her father. She was raised in Atkinson during the depression, where she worked throughout high school at area diners like The Rocket and at the Crystal Ballroom Skating Rink.

Funeral service for Allen R. Baragar, age 58, of Ainsworth, NEwill be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Ainsworth. Burial will follow in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Allen Baragar died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE.

A memorial service for FaDonna J. Goodnight, age 90, of Long Pine, NE will be held at a later date. FaDonna Goodnight died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett.

Funeral service for Wesley Sandall, age 95 of Bassett, NE, will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Bassett. Burial will follow in the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors by Bassett American Legion Post #123. Wes Sandall died Friday, January 7, 2022 in the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett.

James Ocie Alsworth Perrett, known by everyone as “Ocie,” was born September 16, 1929 to George Fredrick Perrett and Ruth Marie Alsworth Perrett at Hyannis, NE in the house on the hill at the north end of Main Street. At the age of 92, Ocie passed from this life into the joy of heaven not because he deserved it, but because he had trusted Jesus as his Savior.

A memorial service for James P. Schendt, age 84 of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth. Inurnment will follow in the Ainsworth Cemetery with Military Honors by Ainsworth American Legion Post #79. James Schendt died Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at home in Ainsworth.

Joseph Clayton Dillon, 82, died January 3, 2022 at his home in Stillwater with his wife by his side. His memorial service was held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating were April Coates and Patrick McPherson.

Conner Michael Jackman was born on February 27, 2002 in Valentine, NE to Aaron and Maureen (Harty) Jackman. He passed away on January 1, 2022 in Ainsworth, NE. Conner was baptized and later confirmed into the Lutheran Faith.

Arlene Kay (McNally) Klein was born October 12, 1943 to J.W. and Verda McNally in Ainsworth, NE and went to her heavenly home on December 22, 2021 in her home in O’Neill, NE.

Marvin D. Hart was born on March 11, 1944 to George and Myrtle (Hunt) Hart at Valentine, NE.
