Ainsworth Bulldogs Compete at 2023 NSAA State Track Meet

The 4x800 Meter Relay Team of (left to right) Katherine Kerrigan, Kendyl Delimont, Cheyan Temple and Emma Kennedy, brought home eighth place. This was only the second time the girls had competed in a 4x800 Relay race.

As a senior, Cameryn Goochey made her third and final trip to the Nebraska State Track Meet. Goochey made it to State in the Class C Girls Long Jump all three years. This year Goochey jumped 15’ 1.5” and placed 22nd in the state.

For only the second time this season, Carter Nelson competed in the High Jump. He placed fourth in the Class C Boys High Jump at the State Track Meet. He also competed in the Pole Vault, Discus and 4x100 Relay at the State Track Meet.

Sophomore Owen Blumenstock made his first trip to the State Track Meet competing in the Class C Boys Long Jump and 4x100 Meter Relay.

Senior Dakota Stutzman finished her career as an Ainsworth Bulldog by competing in the Class C Girls Triple Jump at the State Track Meet. This was Stutzman’s first trip to the State Track Meet. She went 33’ 6.5” and placed 16th in the competition.

Making her first appearance at the Nebraska State Track Meet, Karli Kral competed in the Class C Girls Shot Put and Discus. Kral placed 17th in the Shot Put and no distance in the Discus.

Junior Katherine Kerrigan competed in the 3200 Meter Run, 1600 Meter Run and 4x800 Meter Relay. She placed seventh in the 3200 and eighth as part of the 4x800 Relay team. Photos by Debb Gracey and Rod Worrell
