Ainsworth Bulldogs Defeat Creighton Bulldogs to Clinch District Title for Third Straight Year

The Ainsworth Bulldogs defeated the Creighton Bulldogs 60-26 to win the District Championship for the third straight year. Creighton was state ranked with a 5-1 record coming into the game.

Ainsworth’s defense had 5 sacks and 2 pass interceptions while holding Creighton to 237 total yards and only 26 points.

On hand for Ainsworth’s win over Creighton were three former teammates from Ainsworth’s first two District Championships, (left to right) Carter Nelson, Traegan McNally and Trey Appelt.

Ainsworth’s defense held Creighton to -8 yards rushing in the first half and only 88 total yards in the first half.

Morgan Kinney, #2, gained 151 yards rushing, 51 yards receiving and scored 4 touchdowns.
