Ainsworth Bulldogs Defeat O’Neill St. Mary’s Cardinals, 36-30; One Game Away From 8-0 Regular Season!

Carter Nelson broke through the St. Mary’s Cardinal line and the race was on. Nelson score Ainsworth’s second touchdown of the game on a 53 yard run giving Ainsworth a 12-8 lead in the second quarter.

Riggin Blumenstock, #11, made a good block on an O’Neill defender and enabled Morgan Kinney to get the outside and pick up some good yardage.

Ainsworth sacked the Cardinal’s quarterback six times. This sack by Landon Halloway and Trey Appelt resulted in a fumble that was recovered by #1 Ethan Fernau.

Trey Appelt, #55, got the Cardinals quarterback and deflected a pass during the third quarter.
