Ainsworth Bulldogs End Regular Season Play with 3-5 Record, Heading to State Playoffs

It is not often an offensive lineman gets a chance to score a touchdown, but Witten Painter, #54, Ainsworth’s center got his chance. On fourth and goal from the 6-yard line, Ainsworth called the Hook and Ladder. Fernandez passed to Morgan Kinney, #2, who lateralled to Witten Painter who ran the ball in for a touchdown.

With Cole Swanson, #23, hanging on his leg, EPPJ’s Kellan Hoefer completed his only pass of the game.

With Jacob Held, #34, leading the way, Chris Fernandez, #1, makes a good gain for Ainsworth. Fernandez rushed for 66 yards and completed 8 of 10 passes for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Morgan Kinney, #2, stretches out and tips a pass that would have resulted in a long gain for EPPJ.
