Ainsworth Bulldogs Pick Up First Win of Season

Morgan Kinney caught the first of his three touchdown passes with just 42 seconds left in the first quarter to give Ainsworth a 12-0 lead.

Ainsworth’s swarming defense caused all sorts of problems for Neligh/Oakdales offense. Aiden Jackman, Sam Titus, Cole Swanson and Witten Painter converged on the Warriors’ quarterback Cooper Arehart for a loss.

Witten Painter and Trevor Pike stopped Neligh/Oakdale’s Corbin Hoefer on a fourth down play. Ainsworth’s defense stopped the Warriors six times on fourth down plays to take the ball back on downs.

Jacob Held, #34, helped give Chris Fernandez, #1, plenty of time to pass. Fernandez completed 19 of 23 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns.
