Celebrating 50 Years of Ainsworth Bulldog Volleyball

The first AHS Bulldogs Volleyball team is featured above. They started playing in the fall of 1971; the photo featured above is from the 1972 yearbook. The 10 athletes out for the team were: (Front Row - Left to Right): Ellen Shiply, Tamra Mann, Beth Goff, Sandra Mann and Kim Osborn; (Back Row - Left to Right): Kathy Osborn, Marianne Hamilton, Donalee Oatman, Mindy Mead and Jane Colburn.

The 1989 Bulldog Volleyball team made it to the championship game at the state tournament, claiming the Class B State Runner-Up Trophy. The varsity athletes that year were: (Front Row - Left to Right): Jodi Stanley, Dana Schelm, Kendra Gracey, JoLynn Harr, Leslie Witt, Kara Ritter and Christy Burchell; (Back Row - Left to Right): Shevaun Nelson, Jodi Davis, Lisa Kulek, Chris Hughes, Shelly Sedlack and Karlie McNally.

2021 marks Year 50 of AHS High School Volleyball and the NSAA State Tournament.
