Jolyn Pozehl Brings Home the Silver Medal From the 2024 NSAA State Wrestling Tournament

Jolyn Pozehl defeated Violet Aulner of Bellevue East by a fall in 2:35 for her first win of the State Wrestling Tournament.

In the Semifinal round, Jolyn Pozehl won in Sudden Victory over Ruby Guerrero of Wood River.

With her Semifinal defeat over Ruby Guerrero of Wood River, Pozehl qualified for the Championship Round on Saturday afternoon. Pozehl won 4-2 in sudden victory - 1.

In her Quarterfinal match, Jolyn Pozehl won by an 8-6 decision over Ella Reeves of Battle Creek.

With her Quarterfinal win over Ella Reeves of Battle Creek, Jolyn Pozehl recorded her 100th High School Wrestling Victory. Her parents, Jessica (left) and Matt (right) were ready for the momentous win with a special banner.

In the 1st Place Match, televised on Saturday afternoon, Pozehl lost by a fall in 3:48 to Sophia Shultz of Raymond Central giving her the silver medal. Shultz, a senior at Raymond Central, ended her season undefeated with a 35-0 record and Pozehl, a junior at Ainsworth, finished with a 37-3 record. Photos by Jessica Pozehl
