The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Battle Creek Invitational on January 16th. The Ainsworth Girls took 11th place at the wrestling invitational.

The Ainwsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Higgins Invite in Lexington on January 20th. Jolyn Pozehl, 115 lbs., took second place and Megan Jones.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved changes to boating regulations regarding waters with special restrictions during their January 20th meeting. Added to the list of 5 mph/no wake lakes to include the following: Peterson Lake Wildlife Management Area, Brown County and Ballards Marsh WMA, Cherry County.

The Ainsworth Wrestling Team competed in the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational Wrestling Meet on Saturday, January 21st. As a team, Ainsworth placed 19th with 22 team points.

Minutes of the January 15, 2023 Ainsworth Golf Association Board meeting was held on January 15, 2023 at the club house. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

With one make up game, a postposned game and a regular season games, the Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs went 2-1 on the week. The Lady Bulldogs won a make up game with Cozad on Monday, January 16th, 54-34.

The Ainsworth Middle School Boys Basketball Team has started their season that will run through the middle of February. With two games under their belts, the team will compete in the following events: January 21 - West Holt Tournament - 9:00 a.m.

Landon Holloway took first place in the 145 lb. weight class at the West Holt Invitational in Atkinson on January 23th.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs dropped two games this past week losing 37-45 to the Boyd County Spartans on January 10th and losing 46-75 to the O’Neill Eagles on January 12th. The Bulldogs are now 3-6 on the season.
