Jess Swan shot a three-under 33 to take top individual honors during Ainsworth Men’s Golf League on September 1st. Kyle Jackman carded a one-under 35 with a host of golfers shooting even par 36s.

Ainsworth Golfers Defeat Valentine Golfers In Rolling Rock Competition For Fourth Straight Year

On Sunday, August 28th, Ainsworth’s Rolling Rock Team captured the Rolling Rock for the fourth straight year, scoring a 16-9 victory over Valentine at Frederick Peak Golf Course. In the annual match play event featuring the top golfers from the Ainsworth and Valentine courses, Ainsworth jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the scramble round, and scored 3-1/2 points in the alternate shot round to push its lead to three at 6-1/2 to 3-1/2.

The AHS Girls Golf Team Had a Busy Week of Competition

On Tuesday, August 23rd, all four girls were able to compete on the same scramble team against other area school teams. The foursome carded a 93 on 18 holes, which was good for a 5th place finish out of the 6 varsity teams.

Nick Martin carded a two-under par round to lead golfers in the Ainsworth Men’s Golf League on Thursday, August 25th. Three golfers shot one-under par 35s. They were Cordell Nilson, Brett Knoetzel and Doug Weiss.

KBR Leadership Academy Kicked Off Another New Year

KBR Leadership Academy met for their first session of the 2022-23 year on August 17, 2022. They kicked off the year with participants meeting at the Barta Ranch in southern Rock County. After introductions and networking, the class got to dive right into their strengths.

Main Ramp Area Upgrades Continue at Merritt SRA

Declining water levels at Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area near Valentine has provided the opportunity for additional upgrades to the main ramp area. The work will result in temporary closure of the ramp.
