On Tuesday, February 17, the Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs basketball team traveled to Niobrara to take on the North Central Knights in D1-6 subdistrict play. After the first quarter, the game was tied 12 each.

On Tuesday, February 20, the Ainsworth boys basketball team hosted its final home game of the season against the Hyannis Longhorns. In the first quarter, the Longhorns took an early lead, scoring 15 points compared to the Bulldogs 11.

Ainsworth basketball junior Gracyn Painter broke the AHS girls basketball single game scoring record for the second time this season. Painter previously broke the record in 2025, against Boyd County. Earlier in 2025-26 season, she broke her own record against O’Neill St. Mary’s. In the final game of her junior season, she put up 38 points and broke the record yet again in the team’s subdistrict game against the North Central Knights.
