Takedown the Tumor Tournament Raises Nearly $85,000 for Childhood Brain Cancer Research

The fourth Annual Takedown the Tumor Youth Wrestling Tournament brought energy and purpose to Papillion La Vista High School on Sunday, drawing more than 600 youth wrestlers from across the region. Benefiting the Team Jack Foundation, the event raised nearly $85,000 for childhood brain cancer research. More than $18,000 of those funds came directly from the fundraising efforts of the youth wrestlers, whose dedication played a major role in the event’s success and continues to inspire families throughout the area. Miles Ostronic was the top overall fundraiser again this year, raising $6,200 in memory of his best friend, Omaha native, Jimmy Moran, who passed away from brain cancer in 2022.
