Ainsworth City Council Discusses Golf Course Upgrades

The Ainsworth City Council met for its final regularly scheduled meeting of the year on Monday, December 15, in the Ainsworth Conference Center. Council members present were Dustin Barthel, Kent Taylor, and Brad Fiala.

With rolling Sandhills, winding rivers, towering bluffs and colorful prairies, Nebraska’s landscapes offer endless opportunities for reflection. That idea is at the heart of this year’s Nebraska Emerging Writers and Artists Contest, which invites high school students across the state to explore “Nebraska’s Land, Nature and Memories” through original writing and artwork.

November Firearm Deer Harvest Down 7% Statewide

Preliminary results from the 2025 Nebraska November firearm deer season show statewide harvest fell 7% from 2024, which was expected, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Harvest went from 28,056 last year to 26,029 this year.
