Ainsworth Airport Authority Meeting Ainsworth Airport Authority will meet in regular session on Tuesday, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Ainsworth Conference Center.

The Ainsworth Football coaching staff and players ran a three day football camp for athletes entering 3rd through 6th grade on June 28th, 29th and 30th. Participation was high with 33 campers signing up, meaning the kids got to hit Coach Owen with water balloons as promised. Each camper learned fundamental skills at all positions on both sides of the ball. On the final day, campers were divided into teams and had the opportunity to play a few games. Themes of the day included Family, Effort and Fun.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission educators have scheduled a month full of interesting and engaging events for educators and the curious in July. Here are a few opportunities: Spectacular Stars, Magnificent Moths event is July 17 Join the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Northern Prairies Land Trust to discover the world of nighttime insects during the Spectacular Stars, Magnificent Moths virtual event at 7 p.m.

As we reflect on our nation’s birthday, I would like to talk about something near and dear to my heart: Offutt Air Force Base. During my military career I was fortunate to have been stationed there for three years assigned to the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC). This group carries out an extremely important mission that is essential to our national defense. Offutt is something that we should all be proud of as patriots.

The City of Ainsworth’s Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation program is available for homeowners in Ainsworth. This program is for Ainsworth homeowners, who live in their home, to apply for Home Rehabilitation Funds.
