Local Students Receive Degrees from UNK

Graduate and undergraduate degrees were conferred for 685 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney, including eight students from Ainsworth and Bassett. Receiving degrees from this area were: Ainsworth Neiley Arens with a Master of Arts in Education Degree majoring in Curriculum and Instruction - English as Secondary Language; Hayley Murphy with a Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology Education; Miranda Raymond with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology, Cum Laude; Sara Salzman with a Bachelor of Arts in Education Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education, Cum Laude; Ashley Titus with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood & Family Advocacy, Summa Cum Laude; Bassett Bailey DeVall with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree in Communication Disorders; Jentrie Maurer with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration; and Sage Osborn with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management..

Carol Woods enjoyed a visit from her brother, Jim Marsh, for a few days. He returned home on Sunday. Jim always does many jobs including tilling her small flower and tomato garden and planting it. He brought some unusual very pretty red speckled and purple speckled petunia plants. In days past Jerry and Carol always had a huge garden from which we canned and froze our vegetables.

Alpha Delta Receives $500.00

Alpha Delta Chapter of DKG met on May 1st at the Pizza Place in Bassett. Six members were present and after answering roll call made a donation to Read Aloud Nebraska.
