The Ainsworth One-Act Play team made an impressive showing at this year’s District Competition held on December 6th in Ainsworth, securing 4th place out of seven high school theater groups in the C2-6 District.

Chadron State College has announced the students on the Fall 2024 President’s and Dean’s Lists. The President’s List consists of students with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students met the requirements for the Dean’s List by earning at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. To qualify for either list, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.

Brown County Hospital Board Meeting The Brown County Hospital Board meetings have been set for the first three months of 2025. With two new Board Members coming on in January, monthly meetings have only been set up for January 20th at 3:00 p.m, February 17th at 4:00 p.m.

When you are elected Governor of a state, you take on an awesome responsibility – that of commander-in-chief. It’s not something you get the chance to prepare or train for. It has been an eye-opening experience, in discovering all that our soldiers and airmen do.

Graduate and undergraduate degrees were conferred for 394 winter graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises on December 20th at UNK’s Health and Sports Center. Students graduating from this area included: Tory R.

Carol Woods spent a couple days with her brother, Jim Marsh of Ceresco, to hang out and enjoy the holiday season and to enjoy his two dogs. Carol enjoyed Jim’s great yard decorations and lights. His large Santa Highland cow inflatable was very cute along with the Nativity scene.
