The October 19th - 20th statewide youth pheasant, quail and partridge season for hunters ages 15 and younger provides an excellent opportunity to mentor new hunters. “The annual youth season provides a great opportunity for our young hunters to get out and hunt in a more controlled environment,” said Bryan O’Connor, upland game program manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Aaron Miller harvested this monster Bull Elk in northern Brown County on September 24th. Miller said he had hunted for 20 days before he saw an elk and what an elk it was.
All University of Nebraska athletic venues now have full approval to sell alcohol. Today, the Nebraska Board of Regents voted 7-1 in favor of allowing beer, wine and liquor sales at all NU athletic venues, replacing a 2022 vote that allowed alcohol sales case by case.
