Laurel and Derek Sandkamp are proud to announce the birth of their second daughter, Adrienne Lily, born on July 23, 2023 in Minneapolis, MN. She weighed 9 pounds 5 ounce and was 21 inches long. She joins her older sister, Sierra Kate.

Both Sides Adamant They Are Right in Private School Scholarship Debate We should know soon if a group called Support Our Schools Nebraska was successful in gathering enough petition signatures to allow voters to decide the fate of the Opportunity Scholarship Act passed by the Legislature in its tumultuous session. The tax credit law (LB753) gives tax credits for individuals and entities making donations to scholarship funds intended to help students attend private and faith-based schools.

Taylor Allen, a senior at Ainsworth High School, will be working at the this school year as a COE student. “As I am a senior at AHS, I have the opportunity to COE at the Ainsworth Star-Journal with a hope to pursue a career in publishing,” said Allen.
