Grassroots government is thriving in Nebraska. There are eight petitions circulating with hopes of making the 2024 General Election ballot, according to Secretary of State Bob Evnen.

Emergency personnel were called to a vehicle rollover on Pine Street in Ainsworth. The accident occurred on July 25th and the Ainsworth Fire and Rescue Department along with the Brown County Ambulance Association worked together to extract two individuals from a 2004 Ford Escape. The fire department used the jaws of life to remove one door and wooden cribbing to keep the vehicle stable while ambulance personnel got the accident victims out of the over turned vehicle.
