Brown County Report August 7 - 13, 2022 Sunday, August 7th During a traffic stop on Highway 20, near mile marker 243, a Washington licensed driver was issued a citation for speeding 16-20 mph over the posted speed limit. Received reports of suspected dog neglect in Ainsworth and Johnstown.

It’s important to remember student safety when driving, especially when encountering school busses, crosswalks and school zones. Ainsworth Voters Approve LB840 Local Sales Tax for Economic Development

In a special election on Monday, August 9, 2022, 18.07% of the 1,024 eligible voters in the City of Ainsworth, went to the voting polls and voted to pass the renewal of LB840, the 1/2% sales tax for economic development for another 15 years. Votes cast were 168 in favor and 17 against.
