In a physical game against the North Central Knights on Thursday, January 23rd, the Knights pushed the game into overtime within the last 20 seconds of regular play. The game was neck and neck the last two quarters - but it didn’t start like that.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Battle Creek Girls Invitational Wrestling Tournament on January 20th and came home with eighth place out of 30 teams. Ainsworth had three girls place first in their weight class, Paisley Hoffman, Jolyn Pozehl and Lynley Leonard.

On Thursday, January 16, the Bulldog basketball team saw the O’Neill Eagles in Ainsworth. The Bulldogs cannot seem to shake this rough patch, as this loss dropped the Bulldogs season record to 2-9.

Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) O’Neill office location made a donation of $10,000.00 to support the hot lunch programs of ten schools in the Northeast Nebraska region. Farm Credit Services of America, which is dedicated to supporting rural communities, made the donation to address food insecurity and hunger by assisting families in the local area who had outstanding balances in the schools’ lunch programs.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team was in Atkinson on January 17th for the West Holt Invitational. Ainsworth took ninth place as a team with 43.5 points.
