The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team placed ninth at the Plainview Invite in Plainview on January 18th with 83 team points. Six of the seven wrestlers Ainsworth sent to the tournament medalled.

Jolyn Pozhel, wrestling in the 110 lb. weight class, earned her 100th Pin at the Ord Invitational.

Nebraska Game and Parks reminds people to use caution and test the ice when going onto frozen lakes or ponds after conservation officers responded to two incidents on January 11th in western Nebraska.

Hunters are now able to purchase 2025 spring turkey season permits from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Hunters are reminded they may harvest no more than one turkey per calendar day during the spring season.
