The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling team was in Sargent on Friday, December 13th for the Twin Loup Wrestling Invitational. As a team, Ainsworth placed 11th out of 19 teams.

Jolyn Pozehl pinned Ava Cleveland of Summerland to take first place in the 115 lb. weight class at the West Holt Invitational.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team placed eighth at the West Holt Girls Invitational on December 9th in Atkinson. Ainsworth scored 43 team points with Jolyn Pozehl taking first place in the 115 lb weight class.

Megan Jones took 2nd place in the 140 lb. weight class at the Sandills Valley Invitational.

On Saturday, December 14th, the Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Sandhills Valley Girls Invitational in Stapleton, NE. Ainsworth came away with eighth place out of 24 teams and scored 60.5 team points.

Suttyn Zeigler landed this Master Angler Bluegill this summer on a Brown County lake. The 8-year old Zeigler caught the large Bluegill on July 4th and it tipped the scale at 2 lbs. 4 oz. and was 12 1/2” long. Yes, it is being mounted.

Carson Koch, wrestling in the 215 lb. weight class, placed 4th at the Anselmo-Merna Invitational. Koch pinned Andrew Hernandez of Elm Creek in Round 5.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team competed in the Anselmo-Merna Coyote Invitational on December 14th in Merna. Ainsworth tied for 10th place with South Loup.

The Ainsworth Basketball Team struggled against Anselmo-Merna’s height advantage as evidenced by three Coyote players surrounding Ryan Salzman.

In Friday’s canine competition, the Ainsworth Bulldogs didn’t have enough against the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes. The Bulldogs hosted Anselmo-Merna on Friday, December 13th and lost by a 53-39 margin.

Graycn Painter takes an outside shot against the Anselmo-Merna Lady Coyotes. Painter scored 17 of the Lady Bulldogs 26 points.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team opened its 2024-25 wrestling season on December 7th at the O’Neill Invitational. The Ainsworth Girls placed 13th with 61 team points.
