NSAA Girls District 4 Results for Ainsworth Girls Jolyn Pozehl is headed to the 2024 NSAA Girls State Wrestling Tournament. The State Wrestling Tournament will be held in Omaha on February 15th, 16th and 17th.

The Ainsworth Speech Team competed in the Gordon-Rushville Invitational. Team members competing were (Left to Right) Kiley Orton, Terra Shoemaker, William Biltoft, Erick Hitchcock, Willa Flynn, Puridy Haley and Hannah Beel.

On Saturday, February 10th, the Ainsworth High School Speech Team traveled to Gordon to compete in the Gordon-Rushville Invitational. This meet is only varsity competition, so the novices on the team competed as varsity for this meet.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team completed their 2024 season at Districts in Weeping Water. Team members competing were (Left to Rigt) Head Coach Jake Graff, Holden Beel, Sam Titus, Aiden Jackman, Jackson Irwin and Assistant Coach Wade Alberts.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team ended their season at the Class D District 1 Wrestling Tournament. The tournament was held in Weeping Water on Friday and Saturday, February 9th and 10th.

The Ainsworth Middle School Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Valentine Girls MS Invitational on January 30th. The Valentine Invitational was to be held on January 13th, but postponed due to weather.

Two Ainsworth Girls Wrestlers advance to District compeition. Jolyn Pozehl and Megan Jones placed in the top four of their weight classes at Subdistrict and now advance to Districts on February 9th in Broken Bow. NSAA Girls Subdistrict 4A Results for Ainsworth Girls The Ainsworth Wrestling Team competed in the NSAA Girls Subdistrict 4A Wrestling Tournament on February 2nd and 3rd in Gothenburg. Jolyn Pozehl, 110 lbs., and Megan Jones, 140 lbs., each placed second in their weight classes during Subdistrict 4A wrestling.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldog Basketball Team defeated Sandhills/ Thedford, 40-36, and Mc-Cook, 52-46, this past week to bring their season record to 11-8. The Lady Bulldogs have just two games left in the regular season before Sub-Districts.

In a defensive battle between the Bulldogs and McCook Bison, Carter Nelson got mugged while trying to make a shot.
