The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Higgins Invitational in Lexington on January 19th. Jolyn Pozehl took first place in the 110 lb.

Jackson Irwin took fourth place in the 132 lb. weight class at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational.

The Ainsworth Boys Wrestling Team competed in the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational on January 20th and placed 22nd out of 24 teams. Jackson Irwin, 132 lb.

With two players sidelined, the Lady Bulldog’s younger players stepped up and helped Ainsworth defeat Boyd county 59-35.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs defeated Boyd County Lady Spartans and then fell to the O’Neill Lady Eagles this past week. The Lady Bulldogs hosted Boyd County on January 9th and defeated the Lady Spartans 59-35.

Jackson Irwin took third place at the Burwell Invitational in the 132 lb. weight class.

Coming off the Holiday Moratorium Break, the Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team traveled to Winnebago on December 29th to compete against wrestlers from Nebraska and South Dakota. Ainsworth varsity tied with Valentine and Weeping Water with 22 team points.
