Pillen Signs the Stand with Women Act

The Stand With Women Act, introduced on Govorner Pillen’s behalf by Sen. Kathleen Kauth, requires that students in K-12 and postsecondary school participate on sports teams that correspond to their biological sex, as defined in law. Pillen and Kauth were joined in the bill signing event by Husker athletes Jordy Bahl and Rebekah Allick, who attended the bill’s introduction back in January, as well as nationally known advocate-athletes Riley Gaines and Payton McNabb.

Ainsworth Spring Trap League Concludes for the Season

Ainsworth Spring Trap League hosted by the Sandhills Rod and Gun Club finished on June 4. The top scratch schooters for the season were Witten Painter (181), Chopper Watts (179), Perry Shaul (177), and Dave Theis (172).

Northeast Community College Announces Spring Dean’s and President’s Lists

Northeast Community College in Norfolk has released the President’s Honor List and Dean’s Honor List for both full– and part–time students for the Spring 2025 semester. To be named to the President’s Honor List, students must earn a grade point average of 4.0 and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.
