Senator Tanya Storer Weighs in on Brand Bill

Senator Tanya Storer Introduced AM 810 to Contentious Brand Law Proposal, Emphasizing the Need for Industry- Wide Input and Oversight of Changes to Brand Act. As floor debate approaches for the controversial LB 646, a bill proposing to exempt feedlots under the Nebraska Livestock Brand Act at the expense of cow calf producers, Senator Storer introduces AM 810 to LB 646.

Ainsworth Lions Club

The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at 5 p.m. on March 17 at the Ainsworth Senior Center. The January and February meetings were both cancelled due to weather. Lion President Dale Hafer called the meeting to order with 11 members present. The minutes of the November 18, 2024 Lions Club monthly meeting were approved.

Bulldogs Compete in First Meet of the Season

On Saturday, March 22, the Ainsworth High School track and field team packed up and headed to the University of Nebraska at Kearney for their first meet of the 2025 season. Girls Individual Results 60 meters – 1.

Commissioners Approve One- and Six-year Highway Plans

Following a public hearing Tuesday, the Brown County Commissioners approved the one- and six-year highway improvement program as submitted by Highway Superintendent Kenny Turpin. Turpin said the county completed four projects in 2024 and partially completed two others.
