Brown County Sheriff’s Office Receives Grant for Two Mobile Radar Units

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is being awarded a highway safety grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office (NDOTHSO) to assist in obtaining two mobile radar units, according to William Kovarik, Administrator for the NDOT Highway Safety Office. Cottonwood Villa Residents Walk Nearly 50 Miles in Walking Challenge

Residents at Cottonwood Villa recently completed a walking challenge to get up and going for spring. Pictured are the three participants who walked the farthest (Left to Right): Tracey (Moore) Noel - 13.25 miles, Janice Mitchell - 12.25 miles and Shirley Lentz - 7.75 miles. Altogether the residents counted nearly 50 miles during the two-week challenge.

Proceedings of Long Pine City Council Regular Meeting The Long Pine City Council held their regular meeting on April 4, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Long Pine Community Center. Mayor Ed Brown called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and called attention to the open meeting laws posted on the wall of the Community Center.
