Lions Club Donates to Ainsworth Food Pantry

Ainsworth Lions Club President Steve Dike (right) presented a check for $1,000.00 to Pastor L.W. Christensen (left) for the Ainsworth Food Pantry from the Ainsworth Lions Club. The Ainsworth Food Pantry is maintained by the Ainsworth Ministerial Alliance and provides people who are struggling to make ends meet or are in emergency situations and need food. The Ainsworth Food Pantry is open from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. People needing help can call the Zion Lutheran Church or one of the ministers listed on the north door of the Lutheran Church. Secretary Evnen, who is the keeper of the Great Seal of Nebraska, reminds candidates that the use of the seal is limited to state government and educational use.

Samuel Wilkins Named Chancellor’s Scholar

Samuel Wilkins of Ainsworth is among 20 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who will be recognized as Chancellor’s Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremony December 16 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
