Ainsworth Senior Center Celebrates 45 Years

Forty-five years ago on August 2, 1981, the Ainsworth Senior Center held an open house to celebrate their new building. Senior Center officers in 1981 were Dorothy Walton, Bill Gudgel, Dwight Moody, Burdetta Jansen and George Brede.

A Friday night fire destroyed a building in Ainsworth. According to Ainsworth Assistant Fire Chief Devin Painter, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Ainsworth Community Schools Begins Classes on Thursday, August 13

Ainsworth Community Schools will open its doors to students for the 2026-27 school year on Thursday, August 13. The school has a host of new employees beginning this year.
Ainsworth Reclaims Border Cup

Ainsworth recaptured the Border Cup Saturday at the Ainsworth Golf Course, winning the annual match play event between members of the Ainsworth Golf Course and Bassett Country Club by a score of 15-1/2 to 9-1/2.

Ainsworth Middle School Wrestlers Begin Season at Valentine Invitational

The Ainsworth Middle School Wrestlers competed in the Valentine Invitational on Tuesday, November 9th. AMS placed 8th out of 10 teams. The top medalists were Sam Titus with first place and Kaitlyn Sease and Hunter McLeod with second place medals in their weight classes.

Ainsworth Dental Clinic is now Ainsworth Family Dental

The Ainsworth Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, November 4th for Ainsworth Family Dental. Owner Dr. McKenzie Owen, DDS, who has been the dentist at Ainsworth Dental Clinic since September 2018, purchased the practice in August of this year and changed the name to Ainsworth Family Dental. The building, hygienist and doctor remain the same as before the change in ownership.

Y.O.L.O. Retro Limo and Tech Retail Opens Business on Main Street

Y.O.L.O Retro Limo and Tech Retail officially opened business on Main Street in Ainsworth on October 16th. Owner Gorden Edward called it, “a small business being built by local support for locals of the tri-county.”
