Brown County Commissioners to Meet The Brown County Commissioners will meet as a Board of Equalization on Tuesday, September 7th at 5:00 p.m., and as the Board of Commissioners at 5:15 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Room in the Courthouse.

Back-to-School Bash Held at East City Park

East City Park in Ainsworth was the site of the Back-to-School Bash sponsored by the Ainsworth Area Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, August 21st. Several businesses donated the items for the meal, consisting of pulled pork or a hamburger, chips and a drink.

FDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, August 23rd. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.
