Ainsworth Senior Center Celebrates 45 Years

Forty-five years ago on August 2, 1981, the Ainsworth Senior Center held an open house to celebrate their new building. Senior Center officers in 1981 were Dorothy Walton, Bill Gudgel, Dwight Moody, Burdetta Jansen and George Brede.

A Friday night fire destroyed a building in Ainsworth. According to Ainsworth Assistant Fire Chief Devin Painter, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Ainsworth Community Schools Begins Classes on Thursday, August 13

Ainsworth Community Schools will open its doors to students for the 2026-27 school year on Thursday, August 13. The school has a host of new employees beginning this year.
Ainsworth Reclaims Border Cup

Ainsworth recaptured the Border Cup Saturday at the Ainsworth Golf Course, winning the annual match play event between members of the Ainsworth Golf Course and Bassett Country Club by a score of 15-1/2 to 9-1/2.

There were 129 scholarships awarded to 23 members of Ainsworth High School’s 2021 graduating class for outstanding performances in fine arts, athletics, and other activities, as well as for outstanding academic performance in the classroom.

Cash Reynolds Takes Third Place at North Central Invitational

On Monday, May 10th Rock County Public Schools hosted their 2021 Highway 20 Boys Golf Invitational at the Bassett Country Club. Ainsworth’s Cash Reynolds won a medal for third place, and Ainsworth placed fourth as a team.

AHS Boys Golf Competes in Valentine Invite

Ainsworth High School’s Boys Golf Team competed in the 2021 Valentine Boys Golf Invite on Thursday, May 13th. Receiving a medal for Ainsworth was Cash Reynolds, who placed 7th with a score of 89.
