Finally, it is time to start working in the garden. However, I must confess that I could not stand it with the warmer temperatures and I did plant some things, they may or may not make it.

We spoke last week about the holy city of God coming down to sit on the earth often referred to as Zion or Mount Zion, Bride of Christ, Tabernacle of God, City of God, City of the Great King, Celestial City, City Foursquare, and Heavenly Jerusalem. After the millennium, many believe this will be the eternal home of believers called heaven. A realm beyond the imagination where God as The eternal Lord and King literally dwells and rules from His throne with His followers forever.

Last week, I voted to pass a budget resolution that helps fulfill President Trump’s promise to deliver prosperity and security. This resolution unlocks the reconciliation process. It’s another step forward in helping the President secure the border, lower taxes, rebuild our military, and unleash American energy.

Work resumed April 14 on U.S. Highway 83 (US-83) in Valentine, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Attorney General Mike Hilgers hosted 52 students at the Nebraska State Capitol for this year’s 2025 Attorney General’s Youth Conference. High school juniors and seniors from across the state were invited to the Youth Conference.

Gracie Swanson of Bassett was among 225 University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate students officially admitted to teacher education programs during the 2024-25 academic year who were recognized at the second annual Teacher Education Convocation April 4 at Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall. Swanson is a junior in the elementary education and special education (K-6) program.
