The Nebraska Soil Health School, coordinated by Dr. Bijesh Maharjan, associate professor and extension specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s (UNL) Panhandle Research, Extension, and Education Center, was modeled and developed in 2023-2024 to meet the needs of Nebraska’s agricultural community.

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month at a ceremony at the State Capitol Building. “Child abuse and neglect can be reduced by ensuring families have the necessary resources available to them to ensure their children can grow in a safe, stable environment,” Pillen said.

“Nebraska Farm Bureau opposes LB646 and AM638, which would create a new classification of “Exempt Feedlots” under the Livestock Brand Act. While we support efforts to modernize the fee structure, we cannot support exempting feedlots from participating in the Nebraska Brand Inspection Act.

On Friday, March 28, the Bulldogs competed at the Ainsworth Track and Field Invitational. Previously known as the Ainsworth Snowball Relays, the meet was turned into an invitational this year, to ensure more athletes were able to compete.
