Team Jack Gala Raises Over $800,000 for Childhood Brain Cancer Research

Nearly 700 supporters gathered in Lincoln for the 13th annual Team Jack Gala presented by Fat Brain Toys, raising more than $800,000 for childhood brain cancer research. Former Nebraska running back and current NFL player Ameer Abdullah welcomed attendees and helped kick off the evening, which highlighted the mission of the Team Jack Foundation and the urgent need for research funding.

NDOT Reminds Residents Campaign Signs Are Not Allowed on State Right-of-Way

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is reminding the public that it is unlawful to place political campaign signs, or any signs, on state highway and interstate right-of-way. This includes intersections, medians, entrance and exit ramps, sidewalks and the ditches and lands that make up the right-of-way bordering the length of each roadway.

Wildlife Captures Providing Insights to Big Game Species

Wildlife officials bolstered research and monitoring efforts of big game species in Nebraska with the help of a contracted helicopter crew in February. Mule Deer In mid-February, 58 mule deer were fitted with tracking collars or solar ear tags in the Wildcat Hills for a study aimed at investigating the impact of chronic wasting disease in the species.

The Ainsworth High School boys golf team will compete under head coach Brenda Konkoleski. The team will kick off its season on Tuesday, March 31, at the West Holt Scramble in Atkinson.
