The Brown County Board of Commissioners held their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 17th in the Brown County Courthouse. Commissioners Buddy Small, Dennis Bauer and Reagan Wiebelhaus were all present, as well as Attorney Andy Taylor, Clerk Travee Hobbs and Treasurer Deb VonHeeder.

On Monday, May 30th the nation, state and Brown County will celebrate Memorial Day. The Ainsworth American Legion Post #79 is asking the community for assistance to help put up the small flags and wooden crosses at the Ainsworth south cemetery.

Carter Nelson's Gold Medal in the Class C High Jump at the 2022 NSAA State Track Meet was just one of ten medals won by the Ainsworth Boys and Girls Track Team. Ainsworth competed in the 2022 NSAA State Track Meet in Omaha on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st.

On Tuesday, May 17th the city and swimming pool crew were hard at work preparing the Ainsworth Swimming Pool for a weather-permitting opening on Wednesday, June 1st. Above, employees prepare the shade canopies while the pool is filled up with two hoses.

The Ainsworth Track teams qualified eight athletes in 14 events for the 2022 NSAA State Track Meet to be held in Omaha on Friday and Saturday, May 20th and 21st. Qualifications were held at the C-5 District Track Meet on Thursday, May 12th in Atkinson.

The Ainsworth Bulldog Track Team qualified eight athletes for the 2022 State Track Meet in 14 events.
