Ainsworth Bulldog Volleyball Team Goes 3-2 in Opening Season Run

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs kicked off the 2021 volleyball season with a four-set win against the North Central Knights on August 26th. A veteran lineup led the Bulldogs to wins against the Centennial Broncos and Valentine Badgers during weekend play at the Minden Tournament on August 28th.

Valentine Girls Golf Team Wins Ainsworth Invitational

The Valentine Girls Golf Team won the annual Ainsworth Girls Invitational held at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course on August 26th with a team score of 372. O’Neill took second place with a team score of 382 with the Valentine JV team placing third with a team score of 443.

KBR Leadership Academy is Back in Session for 2021

KBR Leadership Academy returned after a year off due to the novel coronavirus in 2020. Six years ago when KBR Leadership was conceived, their mission was to identify and develop existing and emerging leaders of the tri-county region, thus preparing them for roles in shaping the future and to entrust them to guide the counties in the years ahead.

Ainsworth Book Club Starts Another Year of Reading

The Ainsworth Book Club will be starting another year of great reading and sharing on September 20th at 2:00 p.m. The Book Club will be discussing the title “One Thousand White Women” by Jim Fergus.

Public Asked to Report Dead, Sick Big Game

Nebraska wildlife officials say conditions throughout much of the state are suitable for the spread of deadly viral diseases among big game populations and are asking the public to report unexplained death or illnesses of deer, pronghorn, elk and bighorn sheep.
