Bulldog Football Team Falls to the Bees in Last Home Game of Season

The Ainsworth Bulldog football team hosted its final home game of the season on Friday, October 9. The Bulldogs were held scoreless until the final minutes of the game when they got a two-point safety.

The Lady Dawgs took down the Hyannis Longhorns in four sets (25-16, 23-25, 25-13, 2512) during the team’s last regular- season home game on Thursday, October 1. For the Dawgs, senior Gracyn Painter had 16 kills, followed by sophomore Ava Graff with five and senior Jaylee Good with three.

At the Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 17th, the winning float in the high school was the Junior Class. The winning float in the elementary school competition belonged to the 3rd graders.

According to this year’s Agriculture & Horticulture Division Superintendent Brenda Goeken, there were 71 participants entering 559 entries in the Brown County Fair. It was quite late the evening of Friday, September 3rd, before all entries were tagged for competition.

To start off the day, students listened to a representative from EducationQuest discuss how to prepare financially for advanced education.

Qualifying for the 2022 Nebraska State Fair competition were the two pieces done in Machine Pieced Machine Quilted by Phyllis Skillman and a Fiber Arts Crocheted Vest by Joan Rudnick.
