The Lady Wranglers will have a Gymkhana on July 11, 2021 at the Cherry County Fairgrounds in Valentine, NE. The show will start at 12:00 p.m. CDT. The age divisions will be Pre-Juniors - 5-8, Juniors - 9-12, Seniors - 13-18 and Adults - 19 and over.

The team of Troy Brodbeck, Graig Kinzie and Robby France remain in first place in the Ainsworth Men’s League Golf on Thursday, July 1st by a slim one-point lead over second place with a team score of 27.

The results for the Ainsworth Ladies League Golf after four weeks of golf were as follows: Low scores for June 30th were: 43 – Brenda Konkoleski, Julie Micheel and Jen Martin; 46 – Ashley Martin; 47 – Lydia Allen and Darlene Ehlers. Leading the teams with 31.5 points was the team of Julie Micheel, Kathy Worrell and Stephanie Kinzie; with 29.5 points was the team of Ashley Martin, Lydia Allen and Rachel Schumacher; and tied with 28 points were the teams of Brenda Davis, Connie Jackman and Jan Wells along with the team of Jen Martin, Ann Hoch and Wendy Wilkins..

A regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Monday, June 21, 2021. Present were Chairman Brent Deibler, John Gross and Brian Delimont. Jim Walz and Tate Schipporeit were excused. Also attending were COE John Werner, DON Brandy Bussinger, Controller Tad Stearns, Dr. Campbell and Recording Secretary Tami Kovar. Travis Englund joined the meeting via Zoom.

The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles announced it will begin issuing new drivers licenses and state ID cards this month. The license and ID cards feature new designs and colors that represent the state’s natural and man-made features.

Ainsworth Area Chamber of Commerce held its contest for the Little Miss and Mr. Middle of Nowhere to ride in the Alumni Parade. Filling in the cars were (left to right): Holden Duester, Evan Duester, Little Mr. Duke Dailey, Little Miss Dallyn Dailey, Grady O’Hare, Keegan O’Hare and Mano Bordes.
