Brown County Assessor Terri Van Houten is asking Brown County taxpayers to contact the Assessor’s Office in regards to “water issues” related to the 2019 flooding. If you still have land under water from 2019, contact the Brown County Assessor’s Office by May 31st to document this property to get a reduction in taxes.
Nebraska state park visitors will get a chance to share their experiences this spring and summer. Crews will be in parks conducting surveys every weekend from April 3rd through August 8th.
Many things can cue spawning in freshwater fish: weather, water temperature, moon phase, etc. One of the most important cues is the amount of daylight. For that reason, spawning tends to occur about the same time every year. So, the walleyes began spawning April 1st.
