Alpha Delta Meets in Bassett

Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met on October 18 at The Range Cafe in Bassett for breakfast/business meeting with roll call answered by five members and members’ donations to Read Aloud Nebraska/CASA project.

WMA to be Renamed for Bassett Native

Bassett native Nick Lyman will be memorialized when the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission renames the Twin Lakes R.C. Wildlife Management Area in his honor.

Ainsworth Students Participate in Chadron Scholastics

Ainsworth High School had 33 students travel to Chadron on Wednesday, October 15, to participate in the annual Scholastic Day at Chadron State College. Students took a total of 48 tests in many different subjects as well as created a drawing from a still life arrangement, wrote a story from a prompt and analyzed a literary work.

Lentz Honored as Ainsworth Lions Club Lion of the Year

The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at noon on October 20 at the Ainsworth Senior Center. Lion President Geraldine Erickson called the meeting to order with 10 members present.
