Friends of the Niobrara Receives $50,000 Grant from the National Park Foundation

The Friends of the Niobrara have received a $50,000 grant from the National Park Foundation (NPF), the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service. Awarded as part of the Collective Campaign, a cornerstone of The Campaign for National Parks, this grant will help advance Friends’ ongoing commitment to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Niobrara National Scenic River—for everyone, forever.

Visit “La Catrina” in Ainsworth

“La Catrina” is an elegant skull created by José Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican painter, illustrator, and cartoonist, and later popularized by Diego Rivera, another Mexican painter. La Catrina is a symbol of social criticism, a symbol of Mexican culture, a reminder that death is the great equalizer, regardless of social status, gender, or external beauty.

Football Team Drops Final Game of Season to EPPJ

The AHS Football Team travelled to Elgin on Friday, October 17, to take on the Elgin Public/Pope John Wolf Pack. In the first quarter, both teams were held scoreless.
